Installation

If you need to replace your air conditioning and/or heating system, Greer's Heating and Air Conditioning provides HVAC equipment that can be custom designed to meet your needs and your budget.

We realize that replacing your heating and air conditioning system is a significant investment, however, replacing your inefficient and outdated equipment can increase your HVAC efficiency by up to 25%. This can reduce your energy consumption by as much as 25-40% which translates to savings on your monthly utility bill.

From compressors, air handlers, heat pumps, and furnaces to air flow and thermostats, we can provide a wide range of solutions that are both affordable and will provide comfort for you and your family.  We are authorized Trane and Rheem dealers, but we are happy to install any brand of air conditioning and heating equipment you prefer. We service all makes and models!

Seasonal Checkups

Seasonal Checkups

Spring/Summer

  • Inspect evaporative coil

  • Inspect and clean condensate drains as necessary

  • Inspect blower operation and controls

  • Check voltage and amperage draw on motors

  • Inspect and test safety switches and controls

  • Inspect condensing coil and clean as necessary

  • Check thermostat operation

  • Change filter with customer provided filter

  • Check refrigerant charge


Fall/Winter

  • Gas

    • Check for cracks in heat exchanger

    • Check gas pressure (adjust if needed)

    • Check for proper ventilation

    • Check thermocouple/flame sensor/ignitor for proper operation

    • Check blower operation

    • Inspect all electrical components

    • Change filter with customer provided filter

    • Check burners and flame

    • Clean rust from heat exchanger if needed

    • Lubricate all motors if needed

    • Check amperage draw on blower/purge blower

     

  • Electric (includes all above checks and the following)

    • Check for proper operation of all heat strips

    • Check sequencers, relays and contactors for proper operation

    • Check amperage draw on heat strips

     

  • Heat Pump

    • Check charge by subcooling

    • Check contactor and all electrical components

    • Check amperage draw on compressor and motors

    • Check reversing valve for correct operation

    • Check thermostat operation

    • Inspect evaporative coil

    • Change filter with customer provided filter

    • Check defrost controls for correct operation

    • Check condensing coils and clean as needed
