MONEY SAVING TIPS

Wouldn't you like to save yourself as much money as you can? Preventive maintenance can save you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, on costly repairs that can be easily avoided. By identifying potential problems and keeping the equipment clean and routinely inspected, we can many times take preventative measures to keep your system running at its peak performance. Waiting until your system is not cooling or heating properly is usually too late. Small problems almost always lead to bigger problems. Usually the bigger problems (the ones you notice) are the ones that keep it from performing properly.

Here are some things you can do yourself to keep your system running efficiently in between service visits:

  • Filters should be changed regularly (once a month for disposable filters).

  • Condensing coils (outside unit) should be hosed off using a high-pressure nozel to allow for maximum airflow.  Ask our technician to demonstrate for you.

  • Attic should be adequately insulated.

  • Soffet vents under the eaves on the outside of the house should be kept clean and the power vents and wind turbines on the roof should be functional to allow for proper ventilation.

  • All major windows should have adequate window coverings and be properly caulked to help reduce heat infiltration.

  • All exterior doors should have functional weather stripping to limit air infiltration into the space.
